To celebrate the retrospective exhibition of Ambit’s former art editor, Eduardo Paolozzi, at the Whitechapel Gallery, London (16 February – 15 May 2017) Ambit has invited Suzi Osborn to respond to Paolozzi’s Ambit contributions.
Osborn presents her own work alongside snippets from vintage Ambits’ to create unique collages influenced by Paolozzi, J.G Ballard’s Eden Olympia complex and the crash site of the B29 Overexposed.
Suzi Osborn’s film Eden Tower, made for Ambit 228, was available to download on Ambit’s website from 25 April – 18 July 2017.
Suzi Osborn (b.1988, UK) lives and works in London. She studied BA Fine Art at University of Leeds (2008-2012), University of California Berkeley, Art Practice, (2010 – 2011) and Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts (2012, 2014). Osborn recently completed an MA in Sculpture at Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (2014-2016) where she received the Eduardo Paolozzi scholarship. Recent exhibitions include: Further Material, White Crypt, London (2017); Artefact, Birmingham (2017) and A somersault & a backflip, The Workhouse Open Studio, London (2016).
